Rossnowlagh Beach

located at  Co. Donegal. West facing, Flat surf. Over 1 mile long. The Beach is Drivable,you can fish from the booth of your car, but be careful of the soft sand on the landward side, and obey the speed limit

Getting there. Larn Harbour N.Ireland 120. Dublin Port 250 miles. 10 miles from the N.Ireland Border. Busy with holidaymakers in the Summer. Can be fished at night at these times. Day and Night in Spring, Autumn & Summer. Early Spring is not good fishing.

Bait

Rag worm there is no King rag in this area. Lug and Maddies can be dug locally. Mussel and other shell fish can be gleaned from the local rocks. Keep a look out for the Sign for the Salmon Inn Mullanasole Off the N11, between Ballyshannon and Donegal Town. Here you can dig Maddies and gather big Mussels, some lug available to the right of the small pier..

Traces. 3 hook flapper, short casts 40 to 80 yards. Tide book can be bought in the nearest town Ballyshannon Or the tide can be read in the national Papers

Species Flounder, bass, (day time) Flounder . Bass. Dogs,& sometimes Turbot (Night)

Other beaches in the area that are easy assessable. Tullan strand Bundoran,at the East end of Bundoran, turn at K.F.C.  Murvagh Beach Follow the signs for Donegal Golf Club and Beach from the N11 Between Ballyshannon and Donegal Tow
