BASS
NURSERY AREAS

At the times
indicated it is an offence to fish from a boat in the areas
below
for:
Bass
(Dicentrarchus
labrax) and
/ or
any species
of sea fish using sand eels as bait.

Notes:
1.
This restriction applies to all people, whether fishing
for pleasure or profit.
2.
The nursery areas are intended to help protect bass stocks.
3.
Most aspects of sea fishing are regulated. Free advice on
fishing regulations is available
from
the NW&NWSFC office.
4.
It is your responsibility to ensure you are aware of the regulations
relating to your activities.
The entire
area of the Dee Estuary from Point of Air Light to Hilbre
Pointand ( Red Rocks) and
all the area upstream of that line and the Conwy Estuary upstream
of the Conwy Railway
Bridge
is the sole responsibility of Environment Agency Wales
who are the Local Sea
Fisheries
Committee in each case and not the NW & NW SFC
which is based in Lancaster.
Any anglers seeing fisheries offences in these areas should

immediately
and in total confidence and a Fisheries officer will take
the appropriate action
