The

One of the most worth causes I and many others have probably
fished for in a good while
Organised by Liverpool Sea Angling Club The Mersey Pirates, it
was a very well organised competition with anglers coming from
many parts of the North West to give their support.
The booking in took place at the red Lion Litherland and one
lad from Widnes had been waiting since 9.30 even though booking
in was not due till 11.30! Now that's keen.
Fishing was hard to say the least with winds coming in straight
into your face and as the day progressed the weather deteriorated
until it became too dangerous for the lads to fish on Seaforth
Rocks, an early end was called and the majority of the anglers
made their way back to The Red Lion for the presentations.
The weigh in was carried out by Alan Sharpe and Alan Marklew
