   
Anglers from all over the UK turned out to attend
a charity match in aid of Christies Cancer Fund, although the
lads had fishing equipment with them, very few actually caught
anything! This was due to the time spent meeting other anglers
that they had spoke to via the internet, plus the copious amounts
of good quality food soon had everyone bunched around eating &
chatting rather than fishing.
The match had fantastic sponsoring from many companies
and individuals, without these generous gifts the event would
not have been as sucessfull , our sincere thanks go out to everyone
who took part in this event.
This event has become an annual event since one
of our more colourfull members passed away through cancer, Terry
Pickston better known as Mavrik
