A very comfortable venue, situated at Crosby Merseyside, with
a huge car park and toilets with hot water.
You can drive into the car park and fish anywhere along the promenade
or venture further up coast towards the River Alt at Hightown. The
area in front of the car park is a flat sandy surface with many
lug worm beds, so not surprisingly worm baits seem to be the best
to use. Fishing times are limited to approximately 3 hours
before, and 1 hour after high tide.
Species caught here are Bass, Eels, Flounder, Rockling in the Spring/Summer
with Cod & Whiting in the Autumn Winter months. It is best fished
at tides at least 26 foot, otherwise you'll be walking out to meet
the surf!
Beware of the Sea-Cat on a very high tide
when it is leaving and entering the port of Liverpool, as the wash
from the boat can , and does take anglers and walkers by surprise!
