Perch Rock
Sandbank, situated behind Fort Perch Rock in New Brighton, This
low water mark is best fished 2 hours before and 1.5Hrs after low
tide. A very popular venue in winter and summer, with many different
species coming out in the summer, from Thornback rays to Weaver
fish. There is ample parking around Fort Perch rock, but a walk
of approximately 1000 Yards over soft sand is required to get to
the waters edge. On retrieval of your fish/end tackle, you may extra
feel extra resistance, this is due to a sand shelf which you have
to get your fish/end tackle up out of. Gentle but firm pressure
will make retrieval possible without loss of gear.
