From April to June, Ty Croes is one of the best venues on Anglesey for a variety of ray species, the venue also fishes well on an ebb tide. In mid-summer, mackerel and pollock at high water, especially when high water coincides with dusk. In winter it's a good venue for coalies. other species are abundant too, such as ,thornback,small eyed and spotted rays,dogfish,whiting,dabs,pollack,coalfish,conger,huss,rockling,wrasse and mackeral. Fish baits such as dandeel,mackeral and squid are best used here.
Directions
Cross the Britannia Bridge onto Anglesey, continue West along the new A55 dual carriageway for approximately 12 miles. Look for the white on brown tourism sign indicating the junction for the racing circuit. Follow the A4080 signposted Rhosneigr and Aberffraw. Continue past Rhosneigr which is situated to the right of the A4080 on towards Aberffraw. Just under 5 miles from leaving the dual carriageway (A55) look for white on brown tourism signs at a small crossroads and turn right towards the circuit.You will come to a dead end, Park and secure your car and walk through the barrier,follow the track up to the field, you will then be able to pick what part of the rocks you wish to fish.
